Our hotel is busy with guests from multiple different market segments, including sports teams, corporate guests, leisure, tour and travel and many more. This gives me a chance to meet with different guests daily. In addition, it allows me to solve new issues, make guests happy, and to always stay busy. My General Manager has been my mentor. I am thankful for her and how she has pushed me to do my best daily. When I think I can’t do a certain task, she makes me take a step back and gives me suggestions of how I can approach this challenge. She pulls the greatness out of me when I don't think I have it in me. She has allowed me to shadow all departments to see what day to day tasks are for each department. This has showed me how each department interrelates as well as see how each department has their own challenges. It is what makes my job unique each day. Every day is different and exciting in its own way. I am very proud to call this hotel my “home” as my coworkers and the guests I interact with daily make me feel special and love doing what I am doing each day. We are all a TEAM here and most importantly one big happy Hampton family."

Jay joined Buffalo Lodging as a General Manager, was promoted to Area General Manager, and then most recently was promoted to Regional VP. He enjoys working with our highly talented associates to improve the company as a whole.
