Purpose of Role
- To provide effective leadership to build capability & drive performance of HR team
- To set direction & provide strategic oversight of the operational execution of the HR & internal communications policy & system to maximize organizational flexibility, build talent, capability & capacity to enhance The LOTTE New York Palace Brand & ensure short & long term business success

- To develop & oversee the effective operational execution of HR policy, strategy & system in order to attract, retain & develop top talent
- Define & direct HR policy & translate into employment terms & operational procedures
- Build & implement an organization development strategy to create a fit & flexible organization
- Set direction & oversee the implementation of hotel-wide talent management strategy
- Provide strategic oversight of an effective learning & internal communication framework, plan & system to build talent, capability & knowledge across the hotel
- Develop & deploy effective HR tools to empower & enable managers & team members
- Troubleshoot & provide guidance to operational managers to manage complex performance & disciplinary issues
- Accountability for day-to-day P&L in HR area
- To oversee the development & execution of an internal communication strategy to engage employees behind hotel vision, mission, values, service & operational goals
- Develop innovative solutions to enhance hotel-wide communications
- Design & deploy an effective document management system to drive operational consistency & improvement of standards (ex: policies, procedures, guidelines)
- To build long-term HR & people strategies to maximize hotel flexibility, build talent capability & capacity to meet future business demands & enhance the Palace brand
- Develop new HR concepts & standards
- Anticipate future HR & employment trends
- To act as a key spokesperson for HR area of the Hotel in order to achieve Hotel vision & build & enhance positive brand image with internal & external stakeholders
- Design & lead cross-departmental & hotel-wide meetings and events
- Lead & facilitate HR team meetings
- Member of Executive Committee leadership team
- To investigate employee complaints/grievances and/or alleged violations of hotel policy/procedure to reach an unbiased determination of facts involved

Bachelors Degree in related field
Relevant professional qualifications
Experience
- Extensive progressive experience in HR Leadership role, preferably in Five Star Hotel establishment
- Previous supervisory responsibility required
- Extensive experience relating to HR & Employment Law
- Strong experience in a leadership/senior management role
